The 2025 Met Gala was nothing short of iconic. With the theme “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” and the dress code “Tailored for You”, celebrities turned the red carpet into a powerful runway that honored Black excellence, fashion history, and personal expression. Not just glam for glam’s sake, each outfit ideally told a story of culture, pride, and resistance through fashion.
Here are my top 10 favorite looks that completely stole the show:
10. Jodie Turner-Smith

Jodie Turner-Smith galloped ahead at the 2025 Met Gala with a bold, equestrian-inspired look, paying homage to Black horsewoman Selina Lazevski. She wowed in a custom Burberry ensemble featuring structured tailoring, a dramatic silhouette, and horse-inspired details, blending historical elegance with modern flair
9. Lewis Hamilton

Lewis Hamilton turned heads at the Met Gala in a custom Wales Bonner suit with a Stephen Jones beret, effortlessly blending diasporic style traditions with modern tailoring. The ivory look, though seemingly simple, was rich in symbolism: ivory for purity and power, cowrie shells for wealth, and a Briony Raymond brooch representing ancestral connection. His stylist, Eric McNeal, highlighted the look’s deep cultural layers, making it a tribute to identity, thoughtfulness, and Lewis’s unique style.
8. Alton Mason

Alton Mason turned heads at the 2025 Met Gala in a custom BOSS look, blending high fashion with cultural homage. His silver-embellished jacket and dramatic black overcoat, inspired by Slick Rick and JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, made a bold statement. A heart-shaped chest cut-out, metallic trousers, and a flowing blue cape added futuristic flair, cementing his place as one of the night’s standout stars.
7. Bad Bunny

Bad Bunny seamlessly blended the 2025 Met Gala theme with his Afro-Caribbean heritage, in collaboration with Prada to create a custom Pava, a traditional Puerto Rican straw hat, was pure genius. His Dandy interpretation of the iconic accessory added an elevated, stylish touch to his Met Gala look, fusing Afro-Caribbean heritage with high fashion. It’s refreshing to see him reimagining cultural pieces with such flair!
6. Coco Jones

Coco Jones’ Met Gala debut was an unforgettable moment, thanks to a stunning creation by Manish Malhotra. The extravagant 40s-inspired Zoot suit, paired with pearl-encrusted trousers and a French hand-embroidered lace cape adorned with over 2000 Swarovski crystals and pearls, was pure glamour. Her luminous skin completed the look, making it a perfect fusion of elegance and artistry.
5. Lisa (BLACKPINK)

Lisa brought playful opulence to the 2025 Met Gala in a diamond-embellished Louis Vuitton ensemble. The look featured a structured blazer, monogrammed sheer tights, and bold statement jewelry. The design incorporated portraits of significant figures from Pharrell Williams’ life, which were drawn from his existing artworks and used in his 2023 Louis Vuitton collection. While the portraits sparked intrigue and some controversy on social media, Lisa’s sophisticated take on the theme stood out as a dazzling Met Gala moment.
4. Teyana Taylor

Teyana Taylor embodied Harlem glamour at the 2025 Met Gala in a custom Marc Jacobs design that resembled a wearable bouquet. With bold shoulders, deep red hues, and a tribute to the Harlem Rose, her look combined toughness and softness in perfect harmony. She effortlessly captured the essence of strength and elegance, making it one of the night’s most striking ensembles.
3. Jennie (BLACKPINK)

Jennie Ruby Jane stunned at the 2025 Met Gala in a custom Chanel creation inspired by the house’s iconic Fall 1987 collection. The sleek, modern interpretation of classic Chanel elegance featured a timeless silhouette, showcasing her effortless style and paying tribute to the brand’s rich fashion history. Her look was a perfect blend of heritage and contemporary flair, making her one of the standout stars of the evening.
2. Diljit Dosanjh

Diljit Dosanjh’s ivory suit at the 2025 Met Gala was impeccably tailored for him, perfectly embodying the theme. The gold-embroidered cape and sword paid homage to Maharaja Bhupinder Singh of Patiala, adding royal flair, while his turban and layered pearl and emerald neckpieces elevated the look, blending traditional elegance with modern grandeur. This truly regal and culturally rich statement marked a proud and historic moment, as Diljit became the first Punjabi celebrity to attend the Met Gala.
His royal gown, crafted by Prabal Gurung and his Indian team led by stylist Victor Robinson, featured a map of Punjab and the Gurmukhi alphabet embroidered on the back. This stunning ensemble, which took 50 talented craftsmen four days to complete, was a powerful tribute to his heritage. The inclusion of Punjabi Gurmukhi script added a significant cultural layer, making Diljit’s debut even more impactful.
1. S.Coups (SEVENTEEN)

S.Coups made a stunning debut in a custom BOSS ensemble. His look combined traditional Korean hanbok elements, featuring a mandarin-collar shirt under a slouchy suit and dramatic evening coat. The tonal gray color scheme offered a modern twist on classic tailoring, while sleek silver-toned hair and minimal accessories allowed the outfit’s structure and cultural references to shine.

Marco Falcioni, the designer behind S.Coups’ Met Gala look, described the ensemble as a celebration of culture and craft. The hanbok-inspired outfit was a thoughtful fusion of traditional Korean elements and modern tailoring, embodying both timeless elegance and contemporary flair. Falcioni explained that the design was deeply rooted in cultural significance, drawing inspiration from the hanbok’s structured yet fluid silhouette while embracing the precision of modern craftsmanship.
This collaboration not only highlighted the influence of Korean heritage but also marked a pivotal moment in global fashion, reflecting the growing integration of traditional styles into high fashion with respect and innovation.
These stars didn’t just dress, they told stories, paid homage, and redefined what tailored fashion means in 2025. The Met Gala carpet was a celebration of heritage, innovation, and style.
